According to the auction, if a vehicle is listed as “Run & Drive” during inspection, it means that it:
1) started on its own or with an external jump-start device;
2) was able to be put into gear;
3) moved forward.
This does not guarantee that the vehicle will start or move at the time of sale.
The buyer is responsible for investigating, confirming, verifying, and inspecting the vehicle before bidding. Once the vehicle is removed from the Copart or IAAI yard, the buyer accepts the vehicle “as is.”
Lot information
Yes, you can pick up the vehicle yourself from the Copart, IAAI, or another partner auction yard after full payment has been completed.
Before pickup, make sure that:
1) the lot status is updated to “Ready for Pickup”;
2) there are no unpaid additional fees (storage, delays, documentation, etc.);
3) you have received the PIN code required to release the vehicle at the yard.
The vehicle can be picked up personally or through a representative. If pickup is handled by a third-party driver or transport company, you must provide them with the PIN code in advance and coordinate the pickup date with the auction.
To arrange this, please contact customer support.
The information presented on StatVIN fully corresponds to the data provided by Copart, IAAI, and other partners. It includes photos, condition descriptions, damage type, mileage, specifications, and auction dates.
Since vehicle sales at U.S. auctions are primarily based on visual evaluation through photos, it is important to carefully review all images and descriptions. We recommend analyzing vehicle details before placing a bid in order to estimate potential repair and delivery costs.
For users who have made a deposit, StatVIN provides an additional option — a VIN-based vehicle history report, StatReport.
This report may include extended data:
- service and registration history;
- information about past insurance claims and damages;
- possible records of mileage and vehicle usage.
This approach allows you to make a well-informed decision before purchasing.
On the “Lot” page, under the VIN number, there is a “Buy StatReport” button. By clicking it, you will be redirected to a page StatReport where you can purchase a report for the selected lot.
“Non Actual” means that the odometer reading is not accurate or cannot be verified.
There may be several reasons for this, for example:
1) The odometer has been replaced with a non-original unit.
2) The odometer reading exceeded its maximum limit and reset to zero.
3) The odometer is digital and the battery is discharged.
4) The odometer has been damaged.
In a single VIN report, you can find information about mileage, previous owners, damages, accidents, vehicle registration records, photos, and much more. We help you see the real condition of the vehicle, which in turn allows you to be confident in your purchase.
1) Check the VIN number in the database — 4 steps to get a 1Vin report

2) Verification result
At this stage, we send a request to the database and receive a response indicating whether the VIN is available in the reports database.
3) Enter contact information and make payment
You simply need to provide your email address and phone number and pay for the report using a convenient method.
4) Receive the report
The report will be sent to your email.
Stat.vin users who have made a deposit receive access to free vehicle history reports.
The number of available reports depends on the deposit amount — the higher the deposit, the more free checks you can perform each month.
Reports are automatically available on the selected vehicle’s page and include key information such as:
1) registration and ownership history;
2) data on insurance claims and damages;
3) information about mileage, maintenance, and possible restrictions;
4) vehicle status (for example, whether it was reported stolen or used for commercial purposes).
These reports help you quickly assess the actual condition of the vehicle and avoid purchasing a problematic car.
StatVIN does not provide individual vehicle selection or consultation services.
Our platform is designed as a self-service tool for searching and purchasing vehicles, giving users full access to current auction lots from Copart and IAAI.
You can use a convenient search filter, review lot history, photos, damage descriptions, as well as auction dates and current bids. This allows you to independently assess the condition of the vehicle and make a purchase decision.
We provide transparency, automation, and convenience — everything you need to choose the right vehicle without intermediaries.
