Do you provide delivery within the United States?

Yes, StatVIN provides vehicle delivery across the entire United States.

After purchasing a vehicle at Copart or IAAI auctions, we arrange transportation from the auction yard to your specified destination — whether it’s a shipping port, warehouse, repair facility, or a private address.

Delivery is handled by reliable transport companies that specialize in moving auction vehicles. We monitor every stage of the process — from pickup to final delivery.

The cost and delivery time are calculated individually depending on the distance and type of vehicle, and all details are available directly in the calculator on the vehicle page.

Do you offer door-to-door vehicle delivery?

Yes, StatVIN offers door-to-door vehicle delivery — both within the United States and Canada, as well as across Europe.

After purchasing a vehicle at Copart, IAAI, or other platforms, we handle the entire transportation process:

1) delivery of the vehicle from the auction to the nearest port;

2) international sea shipping (for export);

3) delivery across Europe to the customer’s specified address.

We work with trusted logistics partners to ensure safe transportation and provide the ability to track the vehicle at every stage of the journey.

This means that a StatVIN customer can receive their vehicle directly at their doorstep — without the need to arrange pickup from the auction or port themselves.

How much does vehicle import cost?

The cost of importing a vehicle through StatVIN can be calculated using the built-in shipping calculator available on each vehicle’s page.

The system automatically determines the lot’s location, the nearest shipping port, and calculates the full transportation cost — from the auction to the final destination.

Our calculator takes into account:

  • the distance from the auction to the port (domestic delivery within the U.S.);

  • the cost of ocean freight;

  • the selected destination port and country;

  • additional expenses related to export logistics and customs clearance.

All calculations are performed in real time and displayed on the vehicle page — on the right side in the desktop version and below in the mobile version of the site.

This approach allows you to estimate the total import cost in advance and avoid unexpected expenses during the purchase or delivery process.

Note: the calculator estimate is not final, and additional costs may arise during the delivery process.

How many vehicles fit into one container?

StatVIN has transported thousands of vehicles across the United States and worldwide. The primary method of delivering vehicles to the destination country is container shipping.

Once your vehicle is ready for loading (typically 3–4 vehicles per container), it is assigned a booking on a vessel. The warehouse team loads the vehicle into the container, secures it with straps, and prepares it for shipment.

The container is then delivered by a driver to the port before the cutoff date (the final day the container can be returned to the port).

We keep you informed about your vehicle’s status at every stage of the delivery process. If any situation occurs, such as delays due to weather conditions, we will notify you via text message or email, and also contact you directly by phone to ensure you are aware of the current status.

How many vehicles can fit into a container (standard 40-foot container):

  • Fits up to 4 small sedans

  • Fits up to 2 small pickup trucks

  • Fits up to 3 small crossovers

    20-foot container:

  • Cannot accommodate more than 1 vehicle

How long will my vehicle be stored at the warehouse?

Note: That we provide 30 days of free storage at the warehouse. After 30 days, storage fees apply depending on the loading port.

Please make sure that the vehicle you purchased has all the required documents for export.

If necessary, please contact customer support and provide the VIN or lot number — we will confirm whether it meets the export requirements.

As you may know, we need 4 vehicles with valid documents to proceed with container loading. If one of the customers does not have proper ownership documents, the other 3 customers will have to wait until the documents arrive at the warehouse. Only after all documents are ready can we load the vehicles into the container.

Another factor that may delay the loading of your vehicle is container booking availability. Currently, the number of available bookings is limited, so obtaining a container booking for your destination country may take additional time. Bookings may also be delayed due to port congestion, lack of available containers, vessel delays, and other factors.

In general, the processing time is no more than 1–3 weeks (estimated time to fill the container and load your vehicle). However, considering the factors mentioned above, the total timeline may extend to approximately 4–6 weeks.

Note: We provide 30 days of free storage at the warehouse. After that, storage fees apply:

  • $10/day
  • $25/day for boats and oversized cargo.

My vehicle has arrived at the warehouse — what are the next steps?

All vehicles are loaded into a container, and it typically requires 4 vehicles to fill one container. Once all vehicles are available and ready, we notify our warehouse team so they can begin the loading process.

This usually takes about 1–3 weeks, depending on how in-demand the specific export destination is.

How can I pay for delivery?

You can pay for your order online via bank transfer.

1. BANK TRANSFER (You can pay for both the vehicle and delivery in a single transfer.)
You will receive an invoice with bank details to your email address.

2. To make a wire transfer, use the bank details provided in the invoice.

The process of purchasing and delivering a vehicle through StatVIN includes three main payment stages.

Each step is transparently displayed in your personal account, and you will know in advance the amount and purpose of each payment.

1. First payment — immediately after winning the lot

After winning the auction, the following must be paid:

  • the vehicle price указанная в счёте от аукционного дома;

  • the StatVIN service fee ($450).

This payment is mandatory to confirm the purchase and start the delivery process.

2. Second payment — upon vehicle arrival at the U.S. warehouse

Once the vehicle arrives at the warehouse, the second set of payments is issued:

  • additional auction fees (if applicable, e.g., late payment fees or storage — if caused by the buyer);

  • delivery from the auction to the warehouse;

  • ocean freight to the selected destination port;

  • additional warehouse services (if requested: extra photos, wrapping, insurance, etc.).

3. Third payment — forwarding, delivery, and brokerage services

This payment is made during:

  • forwarding in the destination country;

  • vehicle delivery within Europe or the USA (if door-to-door delivery is selected);

  • customs broker services.

This stage depends entirely on the destination country and the chosen delivery method.

When will you pick up my vehicle?

Once the vehicle and delivery have been paid for, we will begin searching for a driver to pick it up as soon as possible. We will notify you once a driver is confirmed (you will receive an automatic email or message). Typically, it takes 1–3 days to pick up the vehicle from the facility.

Possible delays during pickup

While we always strive for the fastest possible pickup, timing may sometimes depend on factors beyond our control, such as:

  • Severe weather conditions.

  • Limited driver availability in certain areas.

  • Access restrictions or operating hours of the pickup location.

  • Public holidays or local closures.

  • Temporary release delays from yards or auction facilities.

If anything affects your pickup timeline, we will keep you informed and continue working to arrange pickup as soon as conditions allow.

Is it possible to arrange customs clearance under a name different from the account holder?

Yes, this is possible.

A vehicle purchased through StatVIN can be registered under a person or legal entity different from the account holder or the payer for the lot.

Customs clearance can be completed:

  • for a private individual (for example, if the vehicle is being purchased for a relative or another user);

  • for a company (if the vehicle is being registered under a legal entity for commercial use).

To do this, you need to provide the recipient’s details in advance during the delivery arrangement or at the stage of preparing customs documents.

Does the vehicle have the required registration documents?

Yes, the StatVIN platform includes its own document library, where information about the availability and status of registration documents for each vehicle is displayed.

This system shows:

  • export availability statuses — you can immediately see whether the selected vehicle can be shipped abroad;

  • types of documents available for each lot (e.g., Title, Salvage Title, Bill of Sale, etc.);

  • a list of vehicles whose documents require additional processing or restoration before export.

This information helps you assess the vehicle’s readiness for export in advance and avoid delays during the documentation process.

Am I required to pay VAT in my country if the vehicle has already been customs cleared in the Netherlands?

If a vehicle has undergone full customs clearance in the Netherlands (or any other EU member state), you do not need to pay VAT or customs duties again when importing it into another EU country.

This is because the European Union operates as a single customs area.

 Note: However, it is important to consider an exception: If customs clearance is оформлено by a company (legal entity) in this case, the so-called fiscal clearance applies.

This means that VAT is not paid in the Netherlands but must be paid in the country where the company is registered and where the vehicle is being delivered.
In other words, VAT is shifted to the country of final destination.

Additional taxes in certain countries

Some EU countries may charge additional taxes when registering a vehicle. For example, in Poland:

  • excise tax may be required;

  • excise is calculated based on the assessed value of the vehicle in its current condition (often damaged).

Thus, if the process is completed correctly, private individuals in the EU do not face double VAT payments, although local taxes and excise duties may still apply.
