Missouri car shipping from Copart & IAAI auction yards

place your bid on Stat.VIN, and we'll handle the delivery

You don't need a dealer license to bid at a Missouri Copart or IAAI yard: a licensed broker bids for you, and every lot shows one number before you commit. Missouri auto transport is quoted per lot — open or enclosed, whichever the car needs — with the fees already in. St. Louis and Springfield carry most of the state's inventory.

Copart Missouri yards and IAAI branches

Yard addresses, sale days and who can bid at each. Copart ST Louis Missouri is the anchor yard, with Springfield next — though the Springfield listings are physically at the Rogersville yard, so check the address before planning pickup. Copart mo searches return the same set. One more thing worth knowing: some St. Louis IAA lots are released from Belleville, across the Illinois line.

About the service

Missouri auto auction access without a dealer license

Missouri auctions split their inventory in two. Clean-title cars — lease returns, trade-ins, fleet units — are open to the public with a free account. Salvage lots, which make up most of what Copart and IAA list here, are restricted to licensed buyers, and our broker account already holds that license. What follows, in order: what the title records mean in Missouri, what a purchase costs, and how transport works from the yard to your address.

Salvage title Missouri: current brand and prior records

A missouri salvage title is issued when an insurer writes the car off, and the brand follows the VIN from then on. After repair and a state inspection a rebuilt title missouri is issued, and the car can be registered again. The record worth checking separately is a prior salvage title missouri entry: it means the car carried a salvage brand at some point and later cleared the process, so the current document may look clean while the history is not. Read both the current title and the VIN record before you bid.

What a Missouri Copart purchase actually costs

Budget the winning bid plus roughly 8–10% in auction fees, our flat broker fee, and transport from $395. Missouri charges sales tax at titling, and a rebuilt car needs its inspection before it can be registered — that is a shop and paperwork cost, not a rate we can quote. Distance is the variable: St. Louis and Springfield sit about three hours apart on I-44.

FAQ

Buying at Missouri car auctions — FAQ

It depends on the title brand. Clean-title lots are open to the public through a free account. Salvage lots — most of what Copart and IAA list at their Missouri yards — require a licensed buyer, and that is what a broker account replaces. You set the maximum bid and the car is titled in your name.

Copart missouri covers St. Louis, Springfield and Sikeston, with IAA branches in the St. Louis area. Two addresses are worth double-checking: Springfield listings are physically at the Rogersville yard, and some St. Louis IAA lots are released from Belleville, which is across the line in Illinois.

We hold the license Missouri requires for salvage lots, place your bid up to the limit you set, track sale days across the state's yards, and handle the paperwork and title transfer after you win. Transport is arranged through the same network, on the same invoice.

Not in person — the lot stays at the auction yard until it is sold. What you get on Stat.vin instead: the insurer's damage report, the full auction photo set, a VIN report with prior owners, accidents and odometer readings, and the sale history of that specific VIN.

It means the car carried a salvage brand at some point and later completed the state process to clear it. The practical consequence: the current title can look ordinary while the history is not, and that affects resale value and what an insurer will cover. Check the VIN record, not only the document in the listing.

Once you win, the car moves by open or enclosed carrier from the yard to the address you give us. Delivery starts at $395 for open transport; enclosed costs more and makes sense for a car that warrants it. Missouri sits on major east-west and north-south corridors, so pickups usually slot into a route someone already drives.

Most in-state runs take a day or two after payment clears — St. Louis to Springfield is about three hours. Long-distance moves are straightforward because Missouri is a through-state in both directions. Winter storms can add a day between December and February.

Yes — the lot listing shows the run and drive status, and non-running cars go on a flatbed with winch loading rather than being towed. That is already reflected in the delivery quote, at no extra charge.

The winning bid, auction fees and our broker fee are due before the car is released; delivery is invoiced separately once the route is confirmed. We settle with the auction under our own account, so you never register with Copart or IAA yourself.

Yes — a winning bid is a commitment, and walking away from a won lot triggers a relist fee from the auction. That is why we confirm the full landed cost with you before the sale rather than after, and why the maximum you set is the maximum we place.
